Giants vs. Yankees...Ian's first game

I wanted to share some pictures from Ian's first game. He had a blast, although he wasn't quite satisfied that no one won. He at least wanted some reassurance that his team played better, and then found some satisfaction that the "real" Giants won the World Series last year and the Yankees didn't. :) Regardless, he enjoyed himself and I enjoyed watching my first t-ball game.

Enjoy the pictures...

A smile during warm-up.

Waiting his turn to bat.

Good game Yankees! (Not a bad backdrop for a little league game.)

Coming out of hibernation...

So, I have discovered a trend. I am bad at all things related to picture taking and blogging from January until the sun comes out. I guess after all the Christmas holiday excitement I just put the camera away and we hibernate until the rain stops. This year that doesn't seem like it is going to happen. My kids have been to the park two times since last November. Two days of sun, and not warm sun, just enough sun to dry up the rain puddles enough to go down the slide. Today we ventured out in the freezing wind, but I was just happy for them to run and so were they!

The kids are doing very well. Ian has started T-ball and has his first game on Saturday. Mike is devastated to be traveling for this monumental event, but I plan to take LOTS of pictures and video so he can get all the details. Mike did get to take Ian to his first practice. So far Ian loves it. His team is the Giants and most nights end with the Giants ball cap on and a game of catch in the living room. I will of course update the blog with T-ball!

Ian and Will are taking swimming lessons twice a week. They both really enjoy it. Ian has improved drastically and is swimming the width of the pool with no help and with his face in the water. William is mostly just enjoying himself, but he is adding some skills along the way. They both look forward to "swim days".

William is doing well in school. We have added speech therapy into his routine and we have also started seeing another physical therapist outside of the school district. We feel like every little bit helps and he is getting to see his original therapist from Kindering Center who helped him learn to walk. It has been fun to reunite with her and I feel like she is doing a really good job with Will (again).

Delaney is moving a mile a minute. She keeps up with her brothers and is holding her own (William has the bite marks to prove it). Her vocabulary is amazing to me and she is even starting to add sentences. I am starting to see glimpses of the terrible twos, but they are equally mixed with lots of affection. We are really loving this girl stuff!

AND, last but not least, baby number four is growing well and right on schedule. We are hoping for a July 1 delivery, but it isn't final yet. We did have a little scare this last week with another migraine that had some stroke-like symptoms. I spent a little while in the labor and delivery triage (checking on baby) and then was admitted to the hospital, but the neurologist discharged me right away so the whole thing only lasted about 5 hours. Not bad in comparison to the 24 hours of tests and whatnot that occurred last time. Still, not the way I had planned to spend my afternoon. We are all fine though and baby looks great. My plan is to not return to the hospital again until it's time for a baby. :) :)

So now to share the few recent pictures we have. Enjoy!

Brothers caught not fighting. Amazing.

Very windy day, but just happy for some Vitamin D! She loves the slide, and the tunnels, and the stairs, ladders...all of it! Posing for mom.
The boys in front of Tiger Mountain.
On the run!

Looking forward to seeing all of our east coast friends and family in 10 days (but who's counting). I heard a rumor that it was in the 80's...we'll take it! See you soon!
