Will is 4!

William had a great birthday. He started the day with lots of gifts from aunts and uncles and grandparents. It was an airplane themed day and Will is now the proud owner of lots of airplanes and an aircraft carrier and an airport. His airplane fleet is well stocked!

Opening presents with plenty of help from Laney and Ian.

Flying his planes.

After church we all headed down to Boeing Field and the Museum of Flight. The boys really seemed to enjoy themselves climbing in and out of airplanes and cockpits. We got to tour the original Air Force One and walked through a Concorde. There was much more to look at than a 4 year old attention span could handle, but it was a fun day.

The Museum of Flight. I thought it was cute we caught a candid shot of him looking just like the statue. This was a new airplane he got this morning and carried with him all over the museum.

A rare family shot in front of Air Force One.

Hugging on the birthday boy.

The boys check out the cockpit of a fighter jet. While they looked at the airplanes, Delaney and I looked at an exhibit on Stewardess fashion through the years. Something for everyone... :)

Delaney pouting because she was stuck in the stroller. She has mastered this look. :)

Will playing in the control tower. He and Ian used the binoculars to watch the planes land and called for help and had an entire rescue scene acted out while we (and plenty of strangers) watched. They had a great time and got to see lots of airplanes come in while we were there.

Will the pilot.

Of course, after a very full day, we still had to have our cake. Will picked chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream (not surprising) and here he is enjoying his dessert.

It was a long, fun day. Mike and I were luckily rewarded by three sleeping kids at 7:30pm. I love early bedtimes after a crazy day. :):)

Happy Birthday William!

Graduation Day!

Today we celebrated Ian's graduation from Pre-K and the culmination of two years of preschool at St. Joe's. We have all loved his school and he has made really great friends. It is so hard to believe that we are getting close to a 6th birthday and "real" school. As his teacher said, they'll be up there in their high school robes before we know it. I do need to be reminded to savor the little moments amidst the chaos.

The kids were so cute today and sang some songs for their graduation "ceremony". The ceremony was followed by a much more important ice cream party. :) Enjoy the pictures and the video of them singing!

The class of 2024!
Some Pre-K entertainment!

Getting his diploma and a hug from Mrs. Tadman. :)

"Sunshine Day"...do these WA kids even know what sunshine is?
Ian and his buddy Luke.

Mrs. Glaze and Ian...and Will the blur.

Mrs. Tadman and Ian. She has been his teacher for the last two years and we're going to miss her!

Celebrating their big brother's rainy graduation day.

It was a great, but bittersweet day. I'm always excited for the kids to move on to their next big thing, but it is a reminder that it all goes by so quickly.
