In William news, we saw a new geneticist today. Our first doctor was a diagnostician, but this new doctor is the person that will follow William throughout his therapy. There really is nothing much to share. The doctor wanted to see William and make sure he didn't feel as though any more testing was necessary. He reiterated their opinion that Will's condition is caused by the deletion on his 3rd chromosome. The long term plan is to follow up with the genetics clinic on a yearly basis. Partly to make sure we are aware of any new information that they may have and obviously for them to see where Will is. Additionally, they want us to join some on-line support groups to make sure that we are sharing information about Will's condition and possibly touching base with other kids that may have the same symptoms or the same genetic condition. This is one way that they (and we) can learn more about what is causing William's problems.
William will see a GI doctor next month. We are still concerned with his weight gain and some other issues that are making his pediatrician question how well he is absorbing nutrients from his food. This may or may not be a problem, but I'm glad that we're finally going to see a GI specialist here. It is something I have wanted for awhile. Of course we will update everyone on how that goes.
As you can tell, we finally have a camera again. We just bought a new one over the weekend. Fortunately our old camera didn't have too many pictures on it, but we would love any family pictures of Christmas if anyone wants to send them this way. I'm sad that we'll have no 2008 Christmas pictures.
There was nothing exciting to photograph in the last few days, but I thought some recent pictures would be fun. So enjoy! And by the way, this is AFTER Ian had a haircut. He insists he likes it long, but I'm pushing for a chop before the summer. We'll see. Mike (of all people) is a big fan of the long hair. I guess dads can have some opinions too...although I did insist we at least trim off the mullet. :) :)
The boys favorite game is pulling all the covers off of Ian's bed and diving off. They think it is hilarious! They are only "supposed" to do it when they have a grown-up around, but when I hear hysterical laughing coming from the bedroom, this is typically what I find. And yes, we do clean up the toys, but this is what is usually looks like by the end of the day. I keep wondering when they're going to grow out of dumping stuff out just for fun. :)
Will and Ian are starting to play together a lot and in true boy fashion it usually involves wrestling. I think that is one of the reasons they enjoy this game so much.

William has learned to say "cheese" ("deese"). He may not say much that is intelligible, but he definitely knows what's going on around here.
18.5 weeks pregnant with our first baby girl and the first girl on the Anderson side. Ian tells me daily that he "can't wait for the baby to come out". He seems genuinely excited to be a big brother again and is very sweet about it. He rubs my stomach and daily comes up with new names for the baby. Sometimes its nonsense words (Dinda is common), other times more descriptive names such as "baseball guy" or "no-no" (probably pretty appropriate in this house). It has been very fun to share this pregnancy with him.
